The DeWitt Vocal Music Boosters are proud to offer scholarship opportunities for private voice lessons to members of the DeWitt High School Chamber Singers. Scholarships are available for part, or all of the cost of weekly, private voice lessons. Lessons are provided by voice teachers approved through the Choir Director.
The program targets high school students who enjoy music, have financial need, and are current members of the DeWitt Chamber Singers. Scholarship recipients must be ready to commit to weekly lessons and daily practice.
To be considered, the student and their parent/guardian must complete the application process each Fall. Application for the 2016-2017 scholarships will be announced to members of the Chamber Singers by the Choir Director and on this website.
Each scholarship winner arranges for lessons with one of the approved vocal instructors. The DVMB will pay the teachers the scholarship amount. Depending on the total amount awarded, recipients may be asked to pay a minimum amount toward the cost of each lesson. Please note that most teachers require monthly payments towards lessons regardless of whether the student actually attends. We expect each recipient to commit to regular attendance or the scholarship will be revoked.
